Thursday, February 4, 2010 @ 11:45 PM had another anatomy lab today. both in the hall and museum. when i entered the hall thrs a very strong smell. i tot it was from the rotting cadavers. too much of the smell actually made me feel like puking. hence skipping lunch. no wonder ppl say u wun be able to eat after the lab. but i sld be lucky i didn eat b4 tt. asked the lecturer abt it ltr and he said its actually from the formulin they use. first lab the last time we had to touch the cadavers w/o a glove. to say the plegde as a form of respect for them. but today we were given gloves. not tt bad. and the cavaders were not tt fresh so not bloody at all. in fact they look more brownish. the TA was freaking scary! he come very close to u when he ask u smth. and sometimes he points his hands at u. v near u. the thing is he is wearing gloves and he touched the cadavers so it was pretty gross. no taking of pictures allowed in the hall and museum. so i found this pic from the internet tts smth like wat i saw. dun scroll down if u dun wanna see.
its actually more brownish and dry cos they are unclaimed hence at least a few weeks to a few months old for fresher ones. the school reuses them due to the lack of cadavers so some are a few years old. |
